Below are some of the most-asked questions and answers we receive regarding the e-Kiss. If you have a question, please read through the list below to see if it has already been answered. If you don't find your question (and answer), then you can ask us.
Q)
What is an e-kiss?
A) The
e-kiss is a form of online post card. The sender
picks what kind of kiss they like, adds a message,
and sends it (via e-mail) to someone. The receiver
gets an e-mail which tells them that someone has
sent them a kiss, where to go to view it, and gives
them a unique "Kisscode"
that allows them to retrieve the correct
kiss.
Q) What does it cost to
send or receive an e-kiss?
A) It is
completely FREE to both send and receive e-kisses.
Send as many as you want... we'll make more. Also,
it wouldn't hurt to visit some of our sponsors to
prove that advertising here really does work.
Q) How long
does it take for someone to receive the E-kiss I
sent?
A)
The unique Kisscode is immediately sent to the recipient in
an e-mail message. However, that message might take
up to a day to arrive. AOL users may experience a
much longer delay due to AOL system slowness in
receiving e-mail from other Internet Service
Providers.
Q) How
long does an e-kiss last?
A)
An e-kiss will stay on
our server for 5 days.
Q) What if I
do not access my E-kiss before the 5-day
period?
A)
Sorry, but it will be erased. The program
automatically deletes e-kisses after 5 days in
order to keep the total number of kiss-files
manageable.
Q) Can I
access my e-kiss more than once?
A) You
may view your e-kiss as many times as you like
within the 5 day limit.
Q) Does
my name or my friend's name get on some mailing
list by filling out the form at the E-kissing
Booth?
A) NO.
The program does not secretly add you to a mailing
list, nor does VirtualKiss.com sell, rent, give, or
trade names to ANYBODY. However, we DO have mailing
lists that you can join if you want. For example,
The Kissing
Tip of the Day Mailing List
will deliver each day's tip right to your
desktop.
Q) I
tried to send/receive an e-kiss and got an INTERNAL
SERVER ERROR. What do I do now?
A) Email
info@virtualkiss.com and tell us when it happened. Errors
like these are an unfortunate part of the online
community, but we'll do what we can to keep
difficulties to a minimum.
Q)
Can you tell me who my
'secret admirer' is?
A) NO.
If you can't figure out who sent you the e-kiss,
then there is no way we can help. Sorry, but you're
on your own.
Q) How
long has the e-kiss been on the Internet?
A) We
sent our first e-kiss on December 13, 1996.
Q) Once
I've sent a kiss, why doesn't it show up in my
"Sent Mail" folder?
A)
A sent E-Kiss won't show
up in your mail folder because the kisses are sent
from OUR server, not yours. Once you get the
message that the E-Kiss has been sent successfully,
our program immediately creates and sends the
"Kisscode" message to the recipient. To actually
pick up their E-Kiss, the recipient must come to
our website, virtualkiss.com, to view it.
